It is important to measure carefully and allow for a little extra length in the guttering because the joiners will steal some of the length of the guttering when inserted into the joiner. You will lose approx 3mm per straight length (1.5mm either end).
The guttering is made from resin and is easy to cut. The guttering will rest into a little recess in the joiner (all joiners have them), just like in real life guttering, so you will not see the end of the guttering and this system also makes them easier to fit.
The downpipes are made from either wood or plastic and are easy to cut. All raw ends will be hidden inside the downpipe connectors. The downpipe bracket is a tube so you can insert the downpipe through it.
The little brackets that come with the guttering are not just ornamental but necessary to support the guttering. These will need to be glued to the fascia of the roof or the wall of the building. It was impossible to predict all the variables for the fixing so if you find the brackets need to project further forward you can add a little section of wood or card behind the bracket to bring it forward.
Made from 3D printed resin.
Painting tips
For a smooth finish, begin with a suitable primer before applying paint. Alcohol-based paints can create a lovely, fluid finish, while acrylics offer good coverage and a wide choice of colours.
Materials and durability
3D printed in high-grade resin, carefully selected for its long-lasting durability. While some 3D printing resins may deteriorate over time, I use premium-quality resin chosen for its longevity, so you can enjoy your miniature for years to come.
